September/October, 2010 - Meet Columbo, a male of about 1 1/2 years, who was about to be euthanised by the SPCA. Columbo was reputed to be a bad dog, messing in the house and not well behaved. Such is often the story when a dog is not wanted. Columbo came to our house and immediately fit in with our dogs and soon proved he was nothing more than a youngster, full of energy. And on top of that, he was not messing in the house at all! One would have to search far and wide to find a fellow with a more pleasant disposition. It was not long before a family fell in love with this friendly character and took him to be a companion to their Beagle. Before they even reached home, they knew that he was a "a keeper".
