Mado

Mado was an unfortunate 4 1/2 year old female that had been bred many times and returned to the local shelter after each litter with the excuse that she was a problem dog. This is a favourite ploy used by puppy mills so they don't have to bear the cost of keeping her. She was due to be euthanized in August, 2005. Animal Adoption Montreal (formerly Canadian Pet Rescue Services) informed us of her plight and arranged to have her spayed to prevent further abuse. We have since had Mado at our place as a foster dog, but would like to see her go to a permanent one . She is a sweet, affectionate thing who asks nothing more than to be loved and treated as a family member.

Saturday, May 27th. Mado has been adopted! Thanks to Gerdy's Rescues and Adoptions, she has gone to a nice lady in Ottawa. The lady has a Basset about the same age, so Mado will have a playmate. Mado deserves a long and happy life in a stable home. Read all about this success story here.
